Four-Semester Structure

The master unfolds over four semesters, each contributing to a well-rounded education:

First Semester (France)

Hosted by Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University, this semester focuses on the fundamentals of Security and Defense, coupled with language acquisition and intercultural skill development.

Second Semester (Lebanon)

Conducted at Saint-Joseph University of Beirut, Lebanon, this semester delves into Security and Defense issues in the Middle East, providing regional insights.

third-semester

Third Semester (Consortium Universities)

Taking place in one of the other three universities in the consortium, this semester allows students to specialize in a particular area of security or defense.

Fourth Semester (Internship or Research)

Dedicated to either an internship or the development of a research paper, offering practical experience or academic exploration.

The EMJM Janus welcomes students holding a bachelor’s degree in international relations, law, political science, criminology, or strategic intelligence. The master program is credited with 120 ECTS credits and holds accreditation from the prestigious Erasmus Mundus program.
