The MCEM grant is calculated on the basis of the following three components:
  • a contribution to the institutional costs of implementing the program;
  • a maximum number of scholarships to be awarded for the duration of the agreement;
  • a monthly unit cost for student support.

The grant covers tuition fees, living expenses, travel, and visa costs for the entire duration of the master’s program.

Scholarship Amount

Scholarships are based on a monthly unit cost of €1,000 for EU students and €1,500 for non-EU students. The scholarship covers tuition, living expenses, travel, and visa fees.

Scholarship Duration

The scholarship is awarded for the entire duration of the master’s program, which is 12, 18, or 24 months.In case of prior learning recognition, the scholarship duration is reduced by one academic year.

Students who have already received a MCEM scholarship are not eligible for another MCEM scholarship.

Tailored Support for Individual Needs

Contributions to Individual Needs

Contributions to individual needs are eligible if they meet the general eligibility conditions set out in the grant agreement. They will be used for registered students (with or without a grant) with disabilities (e.g. long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments), in particular for the acquisition of special goods or services (e.g. third-party assistance, adaptation of the working environment, additional travel/transportation costs).

Assistance for Individual Needs

Assistance to cover these individual needs of registered students will take the form of unit costs for special needs of a minimum of €3,000 and a maximum of €60,000.

Special Funding for Global Scholars

Explore supplementary funds specifically allocated for students from non-associated third countries across various world regions, supported by the EU’s external action instruments.

Self-Financed Students

A self-funded student is one who can cover university fees and living expenses in Europe and Lebanon. If you choose this option for the Master JANUS program, you’ll need to finance about €52,000 over two years (M1+M2) or €26,000 for one year (M2). This requires financial capability from the student, their family, or sponsors
